- Creating, developing, and maintaining a professional and strong business relationship with end users, influencers, and key decision-makers among potential clients in the oil & gas
- The BDE identifies business opportunities and seeks their development where and when appropriate with existing and new clients.
- The BDE prepares and keeps an updated comprehensive register of prospective and existing clients.
- Prepares and sends weekly/monthly departmental reports to the General Manager on activities carried out.
- Follows up and liaises with the Procurement & Contracts and the Business Development Units for opportunities, monitors all bids, quotes, or tenders to ascertain the award status and the reasons affecting clients' decisions.
- Provides support in all aspects of the bid process to ensure deadlines are met.
- The BDE monitors customer satisfaction and feedback of all clients' assessments on PPNL's performance.
- Carries out any other assignments as may be directed by Top Management
- Minimum HND/bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing or other related fields.
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years' experience in Business Development specifically in Nigeria's upstream / midstream oil & gas industry
- Veritable network across the IOCs, NOCs, marginal field operators and Oil & Gas EPC companies
- Strong communication and IT skills.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
