    ABOUT THE COMPANY

    The Bible Society of Nigeria is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS), a global fellowship of Non-Denominational Christian organization whose primary mission involves translating the Holy Scriptures into languages people can read and understand as well as production and distribution of the scriptures in various forms to meet the different needs of people. It also organizes life transforming programmes to engage people with the scriptures and raising of funds for its activities.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The candidate must have an OND in Accounting or an AAT with a minimum of one (1) year experience.Should be able to think analytically and receptively, as well as communicate effectively and interpersonally.The ability to use the Sage 50 Accounting package will be advantageous.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful candidate will, among others, do the following:Petty cash and cash float maintenance.Creation of payment vouchers and checks.Posting payment vouchers, bank deposit tellers, salary journals, and cash retirement journals.Monthly preparation of bank account reconciliation statements.Reconciliation of account receivables, payables, and statutory deductions.Reconciliation of staff loans and advances for all types of advances available in the organization and confirmation of bank lodgments.Preparation of the income and expenditure report.Any other job assigned and compliance with deadlines are very important aspects of your job.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    Diploma, Associate's degree
