    Summary:
    The Inventory Cost Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting of inventory costs for an FMCG manufacturing company. This includes tracking inventory levels, calculating costs of goods sold, and preparing reports for management.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience in the FMCG industry.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports, comparing budget costs to actual production costs and conduct product margin reporting and analysis for Beverages.
    • Carry-out financial analysis and evaluation of material costs, costs of sales and other overheads, compare actual costs to estimates, analyze variances and generate relevant information for management decision-making.
    • Conduct analysis of raw material and packaging standard costs for accuracy on annual basis.
    • Assist in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory.
    • Work closely with relevant process owners to obtain necessary information
    required for compilation, documentation and analysis of costs.

    • Carry out monthly stock count, analyze variances and perform reconciliation.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA, is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in the FMCG industry.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
