- This role plays a crucial role in managing financial data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insights into the financial health of our organization.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
- Record financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, payroll tax, and sales tax.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and following up on overdue payments.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted figures and report on variances.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
