I AM A COMPUTER NETWORK ENGINEER ,IT CONSULTANT WEB DEVELOPER

POSITION: I.T ASSISTANT    JOB FUCTIONS: 

• Assisting Managing and installation of computer network across unit, 

Department within the university 

• Provide I.T technical support for all staff and department within the university 
• Assisting in creating and maintaining Local Area Network (LAN) Wide area Network (WAN) and Wireless local area network WLAN in the university   
• Providing technical support in resolving computer network issue eg. Resolving IP complicit, installation of network drivers to a client computers and configuration of routers / access point 
• Assisting the ICT Officer to protect all user’s information/data against threats by installing anti-virus on all the computers and regularly update for offices 
• Assisting in Installation of printers and providing I.T support for all users eg staff and student 
• Helping in Configuring and installation of Microtik core router, Wireless Routers, Access point (AP), cisco routers and D-link routers 
• Bridging internet access point (AP Bridge) to multiple points within the university using sectorial and omni directional antennas to connect many locations within and outside the university 
• Installation and configuration of Omni- directional Antennas (5 GHz)   
• Installation and configurations of sectorial antennas   2.4 GHz – 5GHz 
• Supervising in deployment of fibre optics cables within the university network points
