AUWAL ABDULKARIM

My name is Auwal Abdulkarim Maliya, a Nigerian hailing from Adamawa state and born on November 13th, 1996. I am an alumnus of Modibbo Adama University where I obtained a B.Tech (Hons) degree in Library and Information Science in the year 2021. Additionally, I hold a Computer Training Certificate from UHT ICT Ventures which was acquired in Yola back in 2017.
My career objective is to join a team of skilled professionals whereby my contributions will be valuable towards achieving the goals of the organization while striving for personal development. 

Currently, I work as an Accounts and Finance Officer at UHT Ventures since the year 2021 - responsible for developing and implementing financial management policies that comply with legal requirements as well as managing budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting to ensure effective allocation of resources. Before this role, I served as a Computer Operator/Secretary at UHT Ventures from 2017 to 2021 where my responsibilities included office routine tasks such as typing, printing designs etc., internet online services user support software/hardware.
During my National Youth Service NYSC program period between the years 2021-2022; specifically at GSS Malam Sidi located in Gombe State -I worked as a Classroom Teacher tasked with teaching computer studies practically to students and staff members alike. 

Furthermore, I participated in an Industrial Training program held at The National Library Of Nigeria's Yola Branch between the years 2019-2020 where my duties involved engagingin library routine tasks suchas shelve reading,customer service check-in/check-out procedures,and issuanceof ISBN/ISSN statistics among other things.
In addition to being fluent English speaker,I am also proficient Hausa Language & Fulani Language skills.I possess several technical abilities including but not limitedto: accessing and using internet services; proficiency operating windows SP vista w7 w10 etc.; mastery over Microsoft Office application packages such MS Excel MS Word Power point; graphics design applications (Corel Draw). My additional skills include experience working within teams/team building activities problem-solving skills abilityto work under pressurewith minimal supervision,and conflict mediation abilities.

 Finally, hobbies/interests that keep me occupied during leisure time include reading, researching, surfing the internet, and meeting new people whenever possible.

During my NYSC program (National Youth Service Corps), I worked as a Classroom Teacher at GSS Malam Sidi in Gombe State between 2021-2022. As part of my teaching responsibilities, I provided practical instruction on computer studies to students and staff members within the school community. Additionally, during the period spanning from 2019-2020, I completed an Industrial Training program with National Library of Nigeria Yola Branch which involved fulfilling library-related obligations like shelve reading activities; client check-in/check-out procedures; issuance of ISBN/ISSN numbers; statistical data collection among other administrative functions.
 

I  received a Certificate of Discharge from the NYSC Program in 2022, a Bachelor of Technology (Honours) in Library and Information Science in 2021, a Certificate in Computer Training in 2017, a National Examination Council Secondary School Certificate in 2014, and a Primary School Leaving Certificate in 2008.
