Insecurities

"Always wear your hair down", they said and down I did.
"Your're too expressionless, no one is going to want you if there is no smile on your face."
"Oh my! How ugly could a person ever get"
"Don't wear body hug cloths, you have an horrible figure"
I spent almost all of my life listening to the remarks of people around me, slowly loosing sense of who I truly was.
You see I knew who I was till they told me who I should be, now I'm my mom, my dad, that nosy neighbor I had growing up, my primary school teacher.
I stand in front of the mirror, wearing a dress I haven't worn in years, I decided to be who I was and forget all at they said.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror and shook my head, turning back to my closet to get my oversized shirt and trousers, I needed to hide my horrible figure.
Looking at my room I sighed, it had never looked worse but it doesn't matter since no one ever comes in here.
I get back on my bed, get comfy and drown myself in snacks again, worsening my figure.
Maybe tomorrow will be different.
