As a Security Officer at Akwa Ibom State Government Transport Company Limited, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the company's assets, personnel, and customers.

You will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of company premises, vehicles, and passengers, as well as enforcing company policies and procedures.

Your role will involve monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment for all stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring and Surveillance:
Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect and deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
Conduct regular patrols of company premises, parking lots, and vehicle yards to identify security risks and potential threats.
Report any security breaches, incidents, or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities and take corrective action as needed.

Access Control and Visitor Management:
Control access to company facilities by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs.
Enforce access control policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized entry or trespassing on company property.
Escort visitors or contractors as required to ensure their safety and compliance with security protocols.

Emergency Response and Crisis Management:
Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or medical situations, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and protect individuals.

Coordinate with emergency services, such as police, fire, and medical personnel, to ensure a swift and effective response to critical incidents.

Implement emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance to evacuees as necessary.

Patrols and Deterrence:
Conduct visible patrols of company premises and vehicle depots to deter criminal activity and unauthorized access.
Maintain a visible presence and interact with employees, customers, and visitors to provide assistance and deter misconduct.
Identify and report security vulnerabilities or weaknesses in physical security measures and recommend improvements.

Report Writing and Documentation:
Document security incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports, logbooks, or incident forms.
Prepare written reports for management review and regulatory compliance, summarizing security-related incidents, investigations, and corrective actions taken.
Maintain accurate records of security-related documentation, including incident reports, shift logs, and training records.
