About SIRAIE ZAKARIYA:
I am a seasoned professional in strategic planning; Livelihood and knowledge management applying learning to improve programming. I have experience designing complex theories of change for programs, developing measurement approaches, such as outcome mapping and harvesting, most significant change, and critical analysis of FSL related activities to inform adaptations.
In my 8 years of career in developmental and emergency humanitarian response, I have implemented dynamic FSL approaches that seek to fill critical knowledge gaps and refine the program’s theory of change through a variety of learning processes and activities such as studies, desk reviews, analysis, learning events, stakeholder meetings, Networking/Coordination meetings, Field experiences etc.) I focus on applying the principles of IASC Core Principles, SPHERE and core Humanitarian principles in project Implementation.
In order to achieve successful delivery of project objective, I direct and implement with the community level structures such as, women groups, community committees and Stakeholders, providing them mentorship, conducting trainings where necessary and coaching support in ensuring that materials to be used for awareness, social and behavioural change communication are developed, of high quality and devoid of inappropriate (disriminatory, stigmatising etc) and guidance when necessary, for all supported intervention to ensure the beneficiaries are well informed in skills and improved knowledge thereby enabling me collate and produce all relevant reports (monthly, quarterly, biannual, annual and final - end of project) I have a strong passion for humanitarian and relief work as well as a desire to ensure accountability for affected populations.
Experience
Siraie is a self-driven, assertive, and results-oriented Food Security and Livelihood Professional with four (4) cognate experience and eight (8) years of progressive experience in developmental and emergency humanitarian response with a focus on strategic planning, knowledge management, applying learning to improve programming. I have demonstrated leadership qualities by being able to carry out project activities within the apportioned budget, achieve project goals, and produce high-quality deliverables in both emergency and developmental contexts.
I am innovative and proactive in proposing solutions that address local needs and challenges. I have experience setting up and maintaining accountability mechanisms (feedback and complaints), as well as community based approach. I have experience creating and implementing extensive integrated programming plans and have shown good project management skills, possessed good facilitation and presentation abilities and communicates in English and Hausa clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, as well as having rudimentary understanding of other local dialects of the North East. I have exceptional strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving abilities, and can maintain a focus on the small details while seeing the broad picture. I have expertise creating long-term initiatives to develop Nutrition, Education, WASH, and livelihood projects at the state and local levels. I have worked on a variety of projects supported by NERI, FAO, ZOA, PLAN International and Save the Children International.
