Experience

October 2022 till date Johnwood Hotels by Bolton, Abuja Revenue Manager - Assist in the delivery of hotel revenue and profit growth by maximising revenue for both rooms and conference & banqueting. This is done through effective pricing strategies, implementation of achievable revenue plans and production of historical data. - Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls - Develop, monitor, and adjust sales and pricing strategies. - Provide critical analysis of strategies, room's statistics and demand factors - Conduct competitive and demand analysis. - Maintain distribution channel data integrity. - Implement the hotel’s Receivable policy and maintain receivables at the agreed level decided by the General Manager. - Implement the hotel Digital Marketing policy to achieve specific digital goals through carefully selected brand specific online marketing channels. - Implementing the marketing communications plan along with the monthly, and quarterly action plans. - Implementing the hotel CRM policy by focusing on building long-term, values-based guest and client relations. - Develop strategies to market Meeting and Event facilities of the hotel, aimed at positioning the hotel as a first-choice option for our clients. - Implementing the hotel brand standard. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public. - Attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work. - Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel. - Independently implements appropriate hotel inventory distribution strategy; maintains accurate rates and inventory allotments in the IDS/GDS/CRS and property PMS in a timely manner to promote rate parity throughout all booking channels. - Develops near and long term top-line rooms revenue hotel forecasts - Loads all preferred, consortia and promotional rates in GDS and PMS - Spearheads troubleshooting and resolution of any GDS rate loading issues as they occur. - Analyses independently and determines whether hotel is effectively marketing itself across electronic distribution channels. - Participate and prepare rolling forecast and annual budget - Ensure that all rooms statistics reports, including the Financial statement, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent - Ensure that all revenue management related systems are maintained including Opera, Electronic channels, GDS, and Brandcom. - Attend Weekly Sales Meeting to maintain communication of strategies and need periods. - In general, perform any other duties might requested by Front Office Manager - Manage all aspects of rate & inventory management as outlined in the services contract. January-February 2023 date Johnwood Hotels by Bolton, Abuja Front Office Manager - Trains, cross –trains, and retrains all front office personnel. - Supervises workload during shifts. - Evaluates the job performance if each front office employee. - Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments. - Maintains master key control. - Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated. - Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously. - Updates group information. Maintains, monitors, and prepares group requirements. Relays information to appropriate personnel. - Reviews and completes credit limit report. - Works within the allocated budget for the front office. - Receives information from the previous shift manger and passes on pertinent details to the oncoming manager. - Checks cashiers in and out and verifies banks and deposits at the end of each shift. - Enforces all cash-handling, check-cashing, and credit policies. - Conducts regularly scheduled meetings of front office personnel. - Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. - Analyse rate variance, monitor credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count. - Monitor selling status of house daily. Ie flash report, allowance etc. - Monitor high balance guest and take appropriate action. - Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and house rules. - Operate all aspects of Front Office computer system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis, and simple configuration changes. - Prepare revenue and occupancy forecasting. - Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner. - Ensure that employees are always, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guest’s managers and other employees. - Monitor all V.I.P 's special guests and requests. - Review daily front office work and activity reports generated by Night Audit. - Review Front office log book and Guest feedback forms on a daily basis. - Maintain an organised and comprehensive filing system with documentation of purchases, vouchering, schedules, forecasts, reports and tracking logs. - Perform other duties as requested by management. July 2017 to October 2022 Fraser Suites Abuja Assistant Revenue & Reservations Manager - Implement yield strategies to ensure maximum occupancy/revenue. - Prepare daily and monthly revenue reports and communicate to the hotel’s management team - - Conduct weekly revenue meetings to identify revenue generating opportunities and brainstorm other business actions. - Controlling room inventory on Opera PMS, OTA’s and brand website and ensuring rate parity across all channels - Maintaining and updating an event calendar to track city wide events and high occupancy dates. - Responsible for rate loading in all channels and systems according to brand standards - Ensuring all reservations is checked daily for compliance with rate guidelines and tracker for negotiated rates is maintained. - Develop a working relationship with third party agents and corporate bookers to generate incremental revenue. - Ensure all incoming calls are answered as per LQA standards and queries are responded within 24 hours. - Oversee accuracy of room blocks, reservations, and market segments - Contribute to all the sales activities within the hotel and maximize revenue opportunities. - Training of reservations team in all aspects of reservation operations to ensure a high degree of accuracy. - Communicate company values and/or culture to new employees. - Troubleshoot, resolve, and document guest issues and concerns. - Responsible for all recruitment & selection of staff into the Revenue/Reservation department. March 2015-June 2017 Sheraton Abuja Hotel Revenue/Reservation Sales Agent - Understand the key principles of Starwood/Marriott pricing strategies and Revenue Management - Retails, Corporate, Leisure, Group, Other - Rate Restrictions, hurdles, and availabilities - Understand the key principles of Starwood/Marriott sales program. - Starwood Preferred Guest, Global; Preference, SET Preferred, Starwood Preferred Business, LRA vs NLRA, TMC program, Starchoice. - Maximise room’s revenue through the conversion of telephone calls to sales. - Maintain accuracy and cleanliness of the PMS Database - Utilize effective upselling techniques. - Understand and make reservations to support the revenue management strategies employed by the Revenue Management leader of the hotel. - Fluent on all hotel products and services - Handling of faxes, emails pertaining rooms reservations - Fully conversant with all market segments and rate plans used across all the distribution channels. - Flexible in sales technique through offering the right product to the right customer at the right time. - Review the IPS Res Booked Report daily, as well as arrival reports for the short term, to ensure guest satisfactions and reservation accuracy. - Handle customer queries and complaints relating to Room Reservations - Actively enrol and or identify Starwood Preferred Guest Members to develop brand loyalty. - Actively enrol and or identify StarChoice Members to develop brand loyalty. - Co-host dinner/special event with the Sales Team and involved in client entertainment as required. - Identify sales opportunities through individuals, Corporate Accounts, Wholesaler and Travel Management Companies - Support the Reservations Manager/Revenue Management leader with special projects as required. - Daily loading of pace report, EAME C & S report and RevMatrix on Revenue Plan - Checking of daily transaction codes on the system - Daily/weekly monitoring of ROS pricing bench for the property and other competitors for effective pricing/revenue
