Gbenro Oluwagbade is the team lead for the Internal Control & Compliance Officers of Ecobank Development Corporation which is the non-banking arm of Ecobank Group with presence in Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya. 

Key achievements over the years include:

• Played a key role in the SEC approval of two mutual funds (Balanced & Halal funds) and one approval in-waiting (Dollar fund)
• Delivering financial planning/wealth management training to potential clients at organized sessions.
• Led the integration of Oceanic Registrars and ESL Registrars using a sale of contract model 
• Participated in setting up of an Asset Management business in Nigeria and implementation of a Financial Planning business in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Process Improvement Review across the EDC platform in Africa
• Drafting Compliance policies and participate in drafting Risk Management policy
• Risk Control Self-Assessment Implementation for online control testing
• Implemented Business Continuity Management in Nigeria 
• Leading the team on four (4) new applications installations and business projects
