Mustapha Sunusi

My name is Mustapha Sunusi, a graduate of B.A (ED) English Language from BUK Kano. I hold diploma in Computer and Information Technology. I also hold professional diploma in Warehousing, Certificate in Procurement and Logistics and Certificate in Psychosocial Support Skills.
I currently work with Sagad Farm Limited, Kano as Warehouse Officer (Store Officer) with responsibilities for managing warehouse related activities including storage of both raw and finished products, reception of external supplies, issuance of stocks to customers, inventory management, stocks supplies and logistics, among others.
I recently worked as Community Liason Officer with an (NGO) Aid for Rural Education Access Initiative (AREAi), tasked to chair the implementation of Education Digital Equity Initiative program through liaison with top government officials, stakeholders, ministry officials, agencies, community leadership and other partner organizations.
Moreover, while working with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO NIGERIA), I was reporting to the Education Supervisor, under the overall supervision of the Community Learning Acceleration Project Manager, as National Graduate Volunteer (NGV), my responsibilities were to support the development and implementation of the educational development and support activities around the project locations.
I held the responsibility for planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of education program to improve children’s learning outcomes (literacy, numeracy, and skills acquisition) through both formal and non-formal education activities.
In summary, I am knowledgeable, adaptable, industrious, diligent, trustworthy and resilient person. I am knowledgeable in this organization because I have applicable academic qualifications and experience in several similar roles. I am adaptable, meaning I am the type of person who will carry out duties outside of my job descriptions, and I will willingly help out your organization at short notice by working extra hours if needed. I am industrious because I am hard-working and I will take responsibility of everything within my remit, and I will seek ways to overcome challenges when they arise. I am diligent which means I will always work quickly and accurately. I am trustworthy which means you can rely on me to do everything am supposed to do without constant supervision. Finally, I am resilient because I never get stressed in difficult situations and I can prioritize multiple tasks. 

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

_ORGANISATION:  Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO NIGERIA)
ROLE:  National Graduate Volunteer (NGV) – Community Learning Acceleration Project
DESCRIPTIONS: 
-Provide technical support in the areas of education in emergencies to teachers, facilitators, volunteers, and community members engaged in the project.
-Closely collaborate with all the concerned stakeholders to ensure that programme goals are achieved and sustained.
-Actively participate in education-related activities and meetings, and seek active collaboration with other players working in the education sector.
-Adhere to the work plan and ensure the activities are fully implemented as per the national/international and Northern Nigeria Education Sector guidelines.
Ensure close supervision and support to field-based education activities
-Support in the establishment of Learning Hubs within the Education activities
Support set up of clear referral pathways between Education and SBMC teams in close collaboration with PSS and Case Work Officers
-Identify and communicate project gaps, challenges, and vulnerabilities to the line manager on a timely basis and suggest possible solutions to the problems.
Actively participate in setting up of clear monitoring and evaluation plan (including development and implementation of tools)
-Feed the project monitoring tools with the highest level of accuracy in close coordination with the project monitoring team.

ACHIEVEMENTS: 
•As Community Liaison Officer, I was privileged to have engaged with the required stakeholders including the State Government, Education Ministry Officials, various agencies and Local Education Authorities (LEA) in the organization’s effort to introduce Education Digital Equity Initiative (EDEI-PHASE II) in Jigawa State.
•I succeeded in mobilizing various communities, local authorities and traditional rulers within the project contexts to enlighten them about the project, its nature and scope and its impacts on  the beneficiaries.
•I delivered Education Digital Equity Initiative (EDEI-PHASE II) presentation at One-day Training/Workshop conducted at the Ministry of Education Conference Hall.
•I facilitated Education Digital Equity Initiative (EDEI-PHASE II) Lectures to the students at Read-Aloud Sessions held within the four selected schools in the state.
•We were able to delivered reading materials to the minimum of 1600 students across four selected schools, in the organization’s effort to provide education to the remote villages and under developed communities.
