About Murtala Abubakar:

I am a passionate Physiologist (MBBS, MSc, PhD) with 14 years of experience in research and teaching of both medical and professional health students (including postgraduates). I also hold a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) and have been involved in physiology teaching in an integrated medical training under different learning modalities such as conventional lectures, problem-based learning, team-based learning, tutorials and group discussions as well as journal clubs. I have also acquired additional experience in Physiology teaching by attending the famous Physiology Teaching Workshop organized by the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS), at the University of Bristol, UK, in 2013. As a visiting lecturer to some Nigerian Universities, I have also acquired experience in teaching to a culturally diverse student population. Building foundations for next generation of academics and workforce pioneers has always been my career objective.
