Ifeoluwa Osasona

I am a Data Scientist with a data-driven and technology-focused approach to developing solutions.  I have a successful history of working with raw data, uncovering insights, building and maintaining models, and aligning Data science processes with business needs.

I work for Periculum, where I build data driven solutions for individuals and businesses. I have a background in production engineering, but found my passion in data science after taking a statistics course in my penultimate year. After college, I wanted to get some exposure to working with real world data after participating in boot camps, and working on mini-projects and dummy datasets from Kaggle so I accepted an internship offer, which later grew to a full time role at my current organisation. Here, I have worked on exciting and impactful projects, from building a data-driven analytics engine that runs through structured and unstructured financial data to identify patterns and make meaningful reports to help prevent fraud and loss.  I have also worked on customised machine learning (ML) models that drive business decisions. Outside of work, I volunteer to work on mini-projects with teams and work with data science communities, which help individuals who are just looking to get started in Data Science.

I have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Production Engineering from the University of Benin
