I humbly wish to submit this application as my expression of interest for the above position in your organization. I hold a BSc. Hons, and M.Phil. Degrees in Sociology (Demography), a Ph.D. degree in Public Health Demography, and an MBA (Operations & HR Management). I also hold a postgraduate diploma in Public Administration (PGD.PA) and in Development Administration (PGD.DA) respectively. I have several other qualifications relevant to my aspired job. 

I joined the international development and humanitarian organizations in 2003, after practicing as a market research executive, and lecturing with the University of Benin. Since my entry into the NGO job, I have worked there consistently for 18 years in the field of project monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning. 

I have held very senior-level management positions for over 12 years, for projects funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Global Health, and Department for International Development (DFID). Others include Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), Packard Foundation, and MacArthur Foundation.  I was a Senior M&E Advisor, Country Program Manager, and Director of M&E for several organizations. I have over 15 years of local and international consultancy experience in Nigeria, Ghana, and Ethiopia. 

I led the M&E team that developed the unified household tool for rapid community assessment, and program intervention by INGOs in Bornu State. I recently conducted the Farmers-Herders peacebuilding project evaluation for Nassarawa, Benue, and Taraba states for UNDP. I also conducted the program portfolio evaluation for UN WOMEN, and completed the situation analysis study for women and children in Bauchi, and Taraba states, for UNICEF to evaluate their conditions since the sustainable development goal. I was a team member in the collaborative rescue mission in Monguno (Borno state) in 2018-2019, during the massive population displacement in the Northeast due to terrorist attack on the population. My team Action Against Hunger collaborated with IOM and many other international NGOs to save the lives of over 30,000 displaced persons.

I have consulted for United Nations Development Project (UNDP), United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF), UN WOMEN, International Organization for Migration (IOM), and some other international development, and humanitarian organizations. Human capital capacity development is my passion. 

As the lead consultant in my current project (fixed contract), I have managed huge funds; up to N500, 000,000.00 project fund for Wiz Support Services in the last 24 months, with over 20 senior staff across 5 States in Nigeria. We all work in synergy to competitively deliver quality results to donors, State government and significant Stakeholders. I regularly make progress report presentations to my management team and donors. We reported monthly, quarterly and annually. 

Sir, I am really hungry to work for your organization. I will utilize my expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research, results presentation, and excellent donor report writing to support my department if employed. In all the organizations that I have worked with, I ensured I built the capacity of my team colleagues, and project sub-grantees through the act of research design, data harvesting, and field coordination; and also using quality data to make informed decisions concerning an ongoing project. I have published over 20 academic research papers in international journals. I hold two merit awards from fhi360, which were sponsored by USAID for team leadership in field coordination.
