CELESTINE EMENZE

Celestine A. EMENZE holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) Nigeria, a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and holds other certifications in Project Management, Health, Safety and Environment etc.

He is currently, the Head of Finance at Xcene Research, a leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) providing full-service and support to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies, as well as academic research institutions across Sub- Saharan Africa. In this capacity, he leads a team of accounting and finance professionals to manage all clinical research finance processes including budgeting, accruals and payments of investigator grants. He also creates forecasting models, assess risks in investments and ensures all accounting activities comply with regulations.

Before Xcene Research, he was the Head of Finance and Administration at Proshare Nigeria Limited. In this capacity, he leveraged his skills in Finance, Audit, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Analysis and Administrative Control to define the finance and administrative processes. This ultimately improved the company's performance socially, environmentally and financially - cost savings, diversification of revenue, improved and integrated processes, better employee satisfaction and increased profits. 

Prior to this, he worked as a finance analyst/Odoo Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Accountant. In this capacity, he played critical roles in accounting process improvements and implementation. He carried out basic and advanced accounting functions within and outside the ERP space, including financial analysis, financial reporting etc, while providing financial solutions to various clients in diverse industries. 

Celestine has also worked as a Client Services Executive and Risk Advisor for the American International Insurance Company (AIICO). There he was involved in marketing, customer relationship management, Finance and Risk advisory and other client- facing engagements.

Celestine is passionate about learning and solving problems. Every encounter has underlying lessons and wisdom to be drawn therefrom. His motivation comes from adding value to everyone who meets him. In his leisure, he enjoys going through materials on Psychology, Medicine and Abstract Sciences.
