I hold a PhD in Biostatistics (2012) from the Keele University, United Kingdom in addition to a Maters degree in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics. I also hold a two-year advance training and research fellowship in International Health from Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University, USA. I am presently an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in a Nigeria Medical School where I have taught and supervised at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for two decades.
I have led and participated in several public health studies. I have reviewed manuscripts for leading international and highly reputable public health journals including BMC Public Health. I also serve in the editorial board of three clinical trials specific journals based in the United States and Canada. I am a team player and communicate fluently in English language. I have vast experience of using both STATA and SPSS in managing large datasets.
I am interested in capacity building and training assignments as well as health and development related projects. My research interest is around Maternal and Child health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene WASH, Clinical trials, Biostatistics, Uptake of proven cost-effective interventions and infectious diseases.
Experience
I am an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in a Nigeria Medical School where I have taught and supervised at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for two decades. I have led and participated in several public health studies. I regularly offer consultative services regarding study design and statistical analysis to students and biomedical workers. I have reviewed manuscripts for leading international journal in Public Health including BMC Public Health. I also serve in the editorial board of three clinical trials specific journals based in the United States and Canada.
