Talent Acquisition Project Consultant

To source and manage the entire flow of the recruitment and selection projects towards the identification of competent and quality candidates with the hindsight of conformity with the defined mandate from the client. Match client specifications with candidates in order to provide quality candidates capable of delivering high performance  

Responsibilities:   

Recruitment   

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from attracting suitable candidates through interviewing to managing the offer process. This includes Headhunting and sourcing for suitable candidates.  
  • Ensure Job Descriptions and person specification are standardized in line with client brief/mandate that reflect each position’s requirements.  
  • Source and hire candidates with appropriate qualifications and necessary references through various channels.   
  • Create and implement employment marketing strategies to attract passive job seekers.  
  • Support Unit members in candidate evaluation, assessment and hiring. Advice on Recruitment activities for middle or difficult to fill posts.  
  • I develop clear and concise recruitment briefs using best in class structure and techniques devoid of ambiguities.   
  • I also craft standard Job Descriptions and person specification based on client brief and mandate.   
  • Source for and collate resumes in an orderly fashion to ease reference.  
  • Screen CVs, Search / Shortlist CVs in line with job order request, Ensure CVs are conforming with organisational standard and reflective of client requests.   
  • Leverage on appropriate tools and techniques (IT, social media, Referrals, etc.) to communicate job openings and adverts towards achieving the best possible reach to ideal candidates.   
  • Maintain an updated roster of candidate placements and potential job opportunities   
  • Research extant trends and practices within the recruitment industry to optimize return on investment.   

  

Assessment:   

  • Manage and support numerous Assessment Centre Projects.  
  • Competency Behavioral Interview Development & Deployment, and supported several Assessment Projects  
  • Develop and manage structured recruitment programme to fulfill Clients’ needs.   
  • Build assessment case study to identify areas of competencies in candidates. 

People and Project Management:  

  • Develop, mentor, provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Analyst to expertly help in identifying and sourcing quality candidates.  
  • Coordinate and work with Unit Members to ensure hiring formalities are completed on time and professionally through the use of effective resource management.  
  • Coordinate Unit Members to submit weekly update on project progress. Collate and forward the status update reports to the Unit Head and assist subordinates with daily operations activities, and learning new systems.  
  • Developing a detailed project plan to track progress  
  • Monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed  
  • Maintaining business quality standards  
  • Soliciting feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements and quality objectives are met  
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques 
  • Creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation  

Stakeholder Management  

  • Maintain an optimal engagement level with clients; identify their needs and provide regular feedback on success of filling jobs or other issues. 
  • Efficiently manage internal and external customer needs and concern in a prompt and timely manner.  
  • Conduct WFMC orientation/onboarding for new consultants/hire.  Research   
  • I garner relevant information on roles, similar to a job analysis, to gather all necessary information to help understand the job and identify the right fit for the role.   
  • I Identify and maintain detailed information on relevant information on client business and competitor analysis; and keep abreast of industry changes (Benchmark salary, availability, candidate pool, industry activity).  

  

Candidate Management   

  • I proactively build a pool of highly competent and employment ready candidates   
  • I also maintain periodic feedback and communication system with candidates in the pool   
  • I keep in regular contact to review progress and performance of my candidates   
  • Pre-screen candidates before their interview for suitability and conduct interviews   
  • Coach candidates on interview skills / Skills testing   
  • I ensure all candidates inquiries and concerns are attended to   

Data Management   

  • Manage all candidate records and documents for easy retrieval on demand 
  • Document all correspondence with candidates and client (info / calls / schedules) correctly

Major key Projects I worked on (Achievements):  

  1. Successfully worked with the in-house Tech-team to develop a recruitment Software/platforms that allows us to manage entire recruitment cycle from start to finish, manage our external recruiters/referral partners  and lastly the clients/Hiring Managers  
  2. Successfully completed Recruitment projects for senior level and C-Level roles for companies across different industries such as:   
    1. Oil and gas (Upstream, Midstream and Downstream: Asharami Energy, Powergas Africa Limited, Century Group, SG Holding, CEMCS (Chevron Employees Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited) and OVH.).  
    2. Financial Service (Union Bank, United Bank for Africa, Eco bank, United Capital, Access  Bank, Chams plc., Interswitch, Network International, Secure ID) iii.    Non-governmental Organisations: SOS Children villages, Edfin, AVPN etc.  iv.        FMCG & others:  Nigerian Breweries, Micheline Tyres  
  3. Supported on numerous Graduate Trainee assessment centre Programmes including: Oando plc, FrieslandCampina, NIBSS, FCMB, RandMerchant, Nestle Nigeria Plc.,  Wema Bank, Sterling Bank, Workforce Group Top Talent Program etc.   
  4. I also supported in the execution of Sterling Bank Competency Assessment Training for Managers.

Responsibilities:    

  • I successfully managed recruitment and headhunting projects which were majorly mid-level  

to C-Suits, for client.  

  • Make use of appropriate recruitment tools for the selection and interview of candidates to ensure qualified candidates are shortlisted.
