    Responsibilities:

    Legal Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the operation of an eye clinic in Nigeria.


    Contract Management:
    Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers. Ensure that contracts are legally sound, protect the interests of the clinic, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

    Risk Management:
    Identify and assess legal risks associated with clinic operations. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure proactive compliance with legal requirements.

    Legal Advice:

    Provide legal advice and guidance to management and staff on various legal matters, including healthcare regulations, employment law, contractual issues, and patient rights.


    Dispute Resolution:
    Manage legal disputes and conflicts that may arise, including contract disputes, patient complaints, and regulatory issues. Work towards efficient and amicable resolutions while protecting the clinic's interests.

    Policy Development:
    Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the healthcare industry.

    Documentation and Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and organized legal records, including contracts, agreements, correspondence, and regulatory filings. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements and facilitate access to legal documentation as needed.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field. Additional certifications or coursework in Healthcare Law or Medical Ethics are advantageous.


    3-5 years of experience working as a legal officer or in a similar legal role, preferably within the healthcare industry.

    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

    Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in legal documentation and record-keeping.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
