Videographer and Photographer - Lagos State

Job summary

JMG Limited is seeking a versatile and creative Videographer and Photographer to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will be a visual storyteller, responsible for producing high-quality photo and video content from concept to final delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for various platforms.
• Operate and maintain video equipment, including DSLR/mirrorless cameras, cinema cameras, drones, gimbals, lighting, and audio recording gear.
• Conduct pre-production tasks, including script reviewing, storyboarding, and location scouting.
• Capture stable, well-framed, and creatively composed footage.
• Record and sync high-quality audio using lavalier mics, boom poles, and other equipment.
• Edit video content using software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, incorporating motion graphics (After Effects), color grading, and sound design to create a polished final product.
• Manage video assets and maintain an organized digital library.

Photography

• Photograph a variety of assignments, including events, portraits, products, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Utilize professional lighting techniques (both natural and artificial) to achieve the desired mood and quality.
• Edit and retouch photos using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, ensuring consistency with the JMG brand aesthetic.
• Manage and organize large volumes of digital images, selecting the best shots for delivery.
• Provide a quick turnaround on edited images for time-sensitive projects like social media.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in videography and photography.
• Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio or demo reel demonstrating expertise in both video production and photography.
• Technical Proficiency: Software: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom). Knowledge of After Effects and Audition is a significant plus. Hardware: Proficiency with professional-grade cameras (e.g., Canon, Sony, Blackmagic), lenses, lighting equipment, and audio gear.
• Drone Operation: Part 107 certification or willingness to obtain one is highly desirable for aerial photography/videography.
• Creative Skills: A strong eye for visual composition, lighting, color, and storytelling.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent file management and organizational skills with attention to detail for archiving and retrieving assets.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively.
