Job Brief

Ayhomes is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our farm in Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing farm activities to ensure maximum productivity, profitability, and sustainability.

The Farm Manager will manage crop and livestock production, supervise farm workers, implement modern farming techniques, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement farm management strategies to maximize yield and efficiency.
• Oversee planting, cultivation, harvesting, and storage of crops, as well as animal husbandry (where applicable).
• Supervise and train farm staff, assign daily tasks, and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural best practices, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and manage budgets, maintain accurate farm records, and track expenses and revenues.
• Monitor soil, water, and climate conditions to guide farming practices.
• Source and manage farm inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and livestock feed.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and the adoption of modern, sustainable farming techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Animal Science, or related field (mandatory).
• Minimum of 3–5 years' proven experience in farm management.
• Strong knowledge of crop and/or livestock production, soil management, and farm machinery operation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in record-keeping, farm management software, and basic financial planning.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing weather and market conditions.
• Strong commitment to sustainable and modern farming practices.
