- Researching, writing, and editing news stories for radio broadcast
- Gathering information from various sources, including news wires, press releases, and interviews
- Conducting live on-air broadcasts to deliver news updates, breaking news, and special reports
- Collaborating with producers, reporters, and other team members to develop compelling news segments
- Adhering to ethical standards of journalism, including accuracy, fairness, and objectivity

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications, or a related field preferred
- 5 – 10 years' experience as a radio news caster, reporter, or journalist
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling news stories for radio
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver news updates in a clear, articulate manner
- Knowledge of radio broadcasting equipment and techniques
- Familiarity with digital audio editing software e.g., Adobe Audition
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure
- Commitment to upholding journalistic standards and ethics
