- The role of the financial analyst is to develop, maintain financial principles, practices and procedures that cover the full spectrum of financial and cost account functions.
- Financial Modelling: Building and maintaining complex financial models to analyse and forecast financial performance, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Data Analysis: Analysing financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering and analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing input on assumptions.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing and presenting financial reports and presentations to management and stakeholders, including variance analysis and explanations of financial performance.
- Financial Planning and Analysis FP&A: Collaborating with business units to develop financial plans and forecasts, track performance against targets, and provide insights into business performance.
- Cost Analysis: Analysing cost structures and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Ad Hoc Financial Analysis: Conducting ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management, such as scenario analysis, profitability analysis, or M&A analysis.

- First Degree in Finance/Accounting or
- 6-8 years' experience in similar role.
- At least 6 years in a managerial role related discipline
- Professional Accounting Certification ICAN, ACA, and ACCA is required.
- An MBA will be an added advantage
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards
- Expert knowledge of financial systems and processes
- Relevant experience in audit and costing is an added advantage
