Job description
Our client who owns a Hotel is looking to hire Chef de Parte, who will be responsible for managing the pastry specific section of the kitchen and ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes within his/her specialty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within the assigned section.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Ensure consistency in portion size and plating.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes.
- Follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately.
- Oversee and organize the pastry section.
- Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure smooth coordination with other sections during service.
- Step in to support other sections when required.
- Monitor stock levels for the section and report shortages.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO).
- Minimize food waste and maintain cost control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station.
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Experience in a specific kitchen section (e.g., grill, pastry, sauces).
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦118,000.00 per month
