    General Business Manager
    for
    FIPS Agro Limited
    , a subsidiary of FIPS Multilinks Holdings, you will be a dynamic, agro-passionate leader responsible for the overall success and profitability of the company. This role is for a visionary who not only manages day-to-day operations but also plays a key role in the company's growth, with the potential to become a part-owner. You will be responsible for driving business development, building strategic partnerships, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    Strategic and Business Development:

    • Drive business development and client acquisition, building strong relationships with clients and strategic partners.
    • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, creating impactful solutions that add value to the Nigerian agricultural landscape.
    • Manage client relationships, including helping clients with farm establishment and land acquisition.
    • Advise clients on suitable crops, planting timelines, and agricultural best practices (GAP).
    • Facilitate linkages between farmers and off-takers to ensure market access.
    • Organize and conduct training sessions for local farmers and farm staff on modern farming techniques, including the use and maintenance of farm implements.

    Operational and Financial Oversight:

    • Oversee all business operations of the agricultural enterprises, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
    • Manage and provide guidance on soil analysis, including determining pH and moisture levels.
    • Develop and implement realistic phytosanitary programs to ensure crop health and quality.
    • Establish and manage nurseries to support farming activities.
    • Promote value addition among farmers, advising on ways to increase the value of their outputs.
    • Manage the company's P&L (Profit and Loss) and budget to ensure financial health.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
    • Manage and train farm staff on implement handling and maintenance.
    • Be a mastermind behind game-changing solutions, inspiring the team to innovate.

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    • Education
      : A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Science, or a related field is required. An MBA or a Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
    • Experience

      4 years of progressive experience
      in a similar role within the agricultural industry.
    • Business Acumen
      : Proven track record of success in business development and sales, with a deep understanding of the Nigerian agricultural market dynamics, as well as Strong understanding of business operations, and financial management
