Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and qualified dispatch supervisor to complement our great team in the transport division. The supervisor will manage daily outbound logistics, overseeing the packing, loading, and shipping of finished goods to ensure on-time delivery. The qualified candidate will lead dispatch teams, optimize shipping routes, maintain inventory accuracy of finished products, and coordinate with warehouse and logistics departments, requiring skills in logistics, leadership, and dispatch software.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day dispatch and transport activities, including order picking, packing, and loading.
Logistics Coordination: Schedule delivery routes, coordinate with carriers and drivers, and ensure timely dispatch of goods.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate dispatch staff and drivers, including performance management.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and proof of delivery; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Problem Resolution: Address delays, shortages, or discrepancies in shipments to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Process Optimization: Develop strategies to improve workflow efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance packing techniques.
Requirements
Experience: 2–4 years in dispatch, logistics, or transport management, ideally within a large manufacturing or supply chain setting.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and Excel.
Education: HND/BSC/B.ENG/MSC/MBA in logistics, supply chain, or related discipline.
