    Position: Sales Director – Renewable Energy (Solar)

    Job Description Summary:

    You will oversee the sales strategy, team performance, and business development for solar energy solutions. Identify new market opportunities, lead contract negotiations, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.


    Sales Strategy & Leadership:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and market share goals.
    • Lead and manage the sales team, providing mentorship, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team performance.
    • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.

    Team Development:

    • Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing sales team, ensuring continuous professional development.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture that promotes accountability, integrity, and innovation.
    • Set clear performance objectives and regularly evaluate the team's performance through reviews and KPIs.

    Business Development & Key Account Management:

    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within residential, commercial, and industrial solar markets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to expand the company's network and brand presence.
    • Lead negotiations and secure long-term contracts with high-value clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

    Sales Operations & Reporting:

    • Develop accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for the executive team, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
    • Manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and maximizing ROI.
    • Oversee CRM management and ensure data integrity for efficient sales pipeline tracking and analysis.

    Market Insights & Product Knowledge:

    • Stay current with solar industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to position the company effectively in the market.
    • Provide feedback to the product development team regarding market demands, customer needs, and potential improvements to the product offerings.
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to promote products and services.

    Required Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years in sales leadership roles, with a strong focus on the solar or renewable energy industry.
    • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets and driving growth in competitive markets.
    • Comprehensive understanding of solar energy solutions, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, energy storage, and related technologies.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with overarching business goals.
    • Proficient in using CRM tools and leveraging data-driven techniques to enhance sales performance.
