    JOB SUMMARY

    Requirements and SkillsBSc, HND as a Technician or relevant field is preferred3 years' experience as an Instrumentation TechnicianProven experience asan Instrumentation TechnicianBasic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, repairs mechanical, and other systemsKnowledge of general maintenance processes, electronic testing, and methodsInstalls, calibrates, maintains, inspects, and repairs mechanical and electronic devices and equipmentWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances and devicesManual dexterity and problem-solving skillsGood physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance proceduresUse pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faultsImplement loss management practicesConsult with and advise process operatorsRepair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective partsDo risk assessmentsCalibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specificationsWork with engineers on basic designInstall and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processesInterpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practicesTrain apprentices.
