    Description

    Responsibilities:

    Administrative Duties:

  • Manage
    the traditional ruler's daily schedule, appointments, and commitments.
  • Draft
    and prepare official correspondence, speeches, and other written materials on
    behalf of the ruler.
  • Maintain
    an organized filing system for important documents and records.
  • Handle
    incoming communication, including phone calls, emails, and letters, and respond
    appropriately.

    Liaison and Communication:

  • Act
    as a point of contact between the traditional ruler and external stakeholders,
    including government officials, community leaders, and the public
  • Attend
    meetings, events, and ceremonies with or on behalf of the ruler, taking notes
    and ensuring the ruler is informed of relevant information.
  • Facilitate
    communication within the traditional leadership structure and assist in
    resolving conflicts or issues as they arise.

    Cultural and Protocol
    Understanding:

  • Possess
    a deep understanding of local traditions, customs, and protocols.
  • Assist
    in organizing and coordinating traditional ceremonies, festivals, and other
    cultural events.
  • Provide
    advice to the ruler on matters related to cultural sensitivity and appropriate
    protocol.

    Confidentiality
    and Discretion:

  • Maintain
    a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive information and
    discussions.
  • Exercise
    discretion and professionalism in all interactions, ensuring the ruler's
    privacy is protected.

    Travel Arrangements:

  • Make
    travel arrangements for the ruler, including booking transportation,
    accommodations, and coordinating logistics for official visits.

    Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Keep
    detailed records of official activities, meetings, and events attended by the
    traditional ruler.
  • Prepare
    regular reports summarizing the ruler's engagements and activities.

    Other Duties:

  • Undertake any other tasks or
    projects assigned by the traditional ruler that contribute to the efficient
    functioning of the traditional leadership.

    Requirements:

  • This position is open preferably to a male candidate
  • HND/Bachelor's degree in a relevant
    field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar
    role, especially within a traditional or cultural context, is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and
    multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal
    communication skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a deep
    understanding of local traditions and customs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    and exercise discretion.
  • Proficiency in office software and
    communication tool
  • Frequent travel to eastern part of
    Nigeria and possibility of relocation in the future
