    • We require the services of Program Associate in our organisation. This position at Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant contribution to the empowerment and support of children with special needs, making a meaningful difference in their lives and the community of Lagos.
    • The Program Associate at Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs will play a vital role in the planning, organization, and implementation of various programs and initiatives.
    • This role requires collaboration with the team, partners, and the community to develop and manage programs that resonate with the foundation's mission and effectively serve the community's needs.
    • The position includes responsibilities such as fund generation, grant writing, fostering strategic partnerships, and onboarding therapists, all while ensuring the organization operates smoothly under the Directors' leadership.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and implement programs that support the foundation's mission and cater to children with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders including educators, therapists, parents, and volunteers, to ensure impactful program delivery.
    • Promote the foundation's programs events, and initiatives in collaboration with the team.
    • Evaluate and enhance program effectiveness for continuous improvement.
    • Manage program budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.
    • Maintain detailed records and reports of program activities.
    • Lead community engagement through various events and workshops.
    • Stay abreast of the latest research and practices in the field.
    • Generate funds by writing proposals, applying for grants, and nurturing donor relationships.
    • Build partnerships with hospitals, schools, and specialists to expand program reach and impact.
    • Recruit and manage therapists and other professionals to support the programs.
    • Ensure smooth operations of the organization as directed by the Directors.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector or within the special needs community.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    • Knowledge of Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, and a commitment to ongoing education in these areas.
    • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a drive to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs.
    • Must be a resident of Lagos, as this is a hybrid/remote role with both on-site and remote work components.
