    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at MedClinix 24 Medical Diagnostics Centre.

    The Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations of the front desk.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our patients and guests.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the medical center, providing a positive first impression and ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
    • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and transfer calls to the appropriate department or staff member as needed.
    • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring accuracy of appointment details, and confirming appointments via phone or email.
    • Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring completeness and accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information.
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and collect copayments or outstanding balances as necessary, following established billing and payment procedures.
    • Direct patients to the appropriate waiting area and provide assistance as needed, including answering questions, providing directions, and offering support to ensure a comfortable and efficient visit.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including the waiting room, front desk, and patient registration area.
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and photocopying documents, as well as handling incoming and outgoing mail.
    • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated patient care and efficient workflow.
    • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies and regulations, safeguarding patient information and maintaining the security of sensitive data at all times.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of OND or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare administration or customer service preferred.
    • Previous experience working as a receptionist or customer service representative in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff members.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic demeanor and the ability to handle inquiries and concerns with patience and tact.
    • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems; experience with scheduling software is a plus.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Customer serviceoriented mindset, with a commitment to providing exceptional service and support to patients and visitors.
    • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
