    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled
    Civil Engineer
    to join our Building and Civil Engineering Contracting Company located on Broad Street, Lagos Island. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and hands-on experience in both building and civil engineering works.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's Degree is an advantage).
    • Minimum of
      5 years' proven experience
      in building and civil engineering projects.
    • COREN/NSE certification is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in
      AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MS Project/Primavera
      .
    • Strong knowledge of structural analysis, project management, and construction methodologies.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, review, and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and project plans.
    • Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
    • Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and material schedules.
    • Liaise with architects, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Monitor and control project progress, resolving technical and site-related issues promptly.
    • Ensure all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are met on site.
    • Provide technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
    • Assist in tendering and contract management processes when required.
