- Lead the establishment of the Afritropic Soil Systems & R&D Unit.
- Conduct soil sampling, laboratory testing, and fertility analysis for all Afritropic farms.
- Develop site-specific soil improvement and management strategies to enhance crop productivity.
- Design and maintain soil maps and digital soil databases using GIS and remote sensing tools.
- Collaborate with agronomists, irrigation engineers, and greenhouse specialists to optimize soil–water–nutrient interactions.
- Research and develop growing media formulations for greenhouse and controlled environment systems.
- Conduct trials on soil amendments, composting, and regenerative agriculture techniques.
- Produce technical reports, scientific publications, and contribute to Afritropic's soil knowledge database.
- Train field teams and farmers on soil management best practices and sustainable land restoration.
- BSc or MSc in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 3- 7 years of practical field experience in soil testing, analysis, or fertility management.
- Proficiency in GIS, remote sensing, and soil mapping tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience in R&D, data interpretation, and agronomic recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of soil–plant relationships, fertilizers, and organic soil health.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and agricultural transformation.
