JOB SUMMARY

Completion of secondary school will be an asset2 - 3 years work experience.Previous experience as a construction laborer would be an asset, on-the-job training can be providedAbility to lift heavy materials and equipment;Outstanding attention to detail;Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods, and carry out strenuous physical tasks;Ability to work for long hours while sitting on knees;Requires lifting, pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects;Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in shaping, measuring, and assembling material;Deliver or hold materials or tools to help tradesmen and, assist in other activities;Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges;Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas;Clean up of job sites;Build under beds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets;Mix, pour, and spread materials such as cement, and spread mortar;Select tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transport items to the work site;Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces;Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed by tradesman;Prepare, measure and mark the surface to be covered;Assist tradesmen in laying cover interior and exterior walls, floors, and ceilings with ceramic, marble, and quarry tile, mosaics, or terrazzo;Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power-cutting tools;Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
