Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer - Abuja

Job summary

Hardcore Biometric Systems is seeking a talented IT Infrastructure Engineer to work in the Information Technology team at our offices in Abuja, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor core IT systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test, and maintain Hardware Biometric Systems' Data Centers, IT systems, software and system management tools
• Architect and maintain global firewall and network infrastructure, cooperating with local IT site managers
• Lead network-related IT projects globally
• Review systems implemented by other members of the team to ensure proper standards
• Provide triage support for infrastructure related issues
• Work and troubleshoot with LDAP and Active Directory
• Support design and development of security solutions that meet requirements, adhere to applicable policies, and comply with information security requirements
• Implementation of Role Based Access Controls, including analytical role mining and entitlement analysis

Qualifications

• 5+ Years' experience as a system administrator, network administrator, with experience in Linux, Macintosh, and Windows systems
• Strong understanding of all areas in an IT environment
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure is a plus
• Advanced Understanding of network technologies, routing, firewalls, and VPN from one or more vendors such as Juniper, Fortigate, Cisco, Brocade, Force10, etc.
• Proven experience in leading IT projects
• Experience with authentication technologies, e.g. 2-factor authentication, LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, 802.1x, NAC Systems, etc.
• Understanding of common services (web, mail), protocols (SSH, DNS, IPSEC), and architecture (enterprise and cloud)
• Basic scripting/developing skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, which could include levels of management and external vendors
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for complex issues, escalating when necessary
• Good presentation skills
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, engineering, math, or other related discipline is a plus but not required
