    Project Accountant Position

    We are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our team in the Real Estate and Construction industry.

    • Main Responsibilities:
    • Perform professional level accounting work, maintaining and reviewing capital projects records, monitoring project progress, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring compliance with contractual guidelines.
    • Review budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures.
    • Estimate labor and material costs.
    • Reconcile all invoices from vendors.
    • Deliver financial reports to management.
    • Ensure accounts comply with financial regulations.
    • Provide timely financial reports and budgets to project managers and clients, as well as project forecasts.
    • Prepare pre-billing reports for project managers to review.
    • Prepare actual costs, working capital, and tax reports.
    • Monitor receivable income and support project managers with collections.
    • Issue invoices and purchase orders, and pay consultant, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bills.
    • Maintain steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices in a timely manner.

    Required Qualifications & Experience:

    • BSC in Accounting or Finance, with professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) an added advantage.
    • Minimum 5 years working in accounting systems, with 3 years in job cost, cost accounting, and/or construction accounting.
    • Experience preparing and reviewing cash flow for multiple departments, revenue streams, or projects with roll-ups.
    • Understanding of budgeting process.
    • Knowledge of capital and fixed asset accounting.
    • Understanding of commercial insurance policies.
    • Ability to work independently and complete duties with little direct supervision.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
    • Proficiency in Accounting Software.
    • Ability to learn new systems and procedures with ease.
    • Ability to read and understand contracts and scopes of work.
