    Job Title: Production Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Production Management:
      • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and quality standards.
      • Ensure the smooth functioning of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
      • Monitor and optimize production processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality improvement.
      • Collaborate with the maintenance and Quality control teams to address any production issues promptly.
    • Leadership and Team Management:
      • Lead and mentor a team of production staff to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
      • Implement training and development programs to enhance the technical and operational skills of team members.
      • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
      • Ensure smooth communication between team members and other departments.
    • Compliance and Reporting:
      • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
      • Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports for senior management.
      • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Strategic Planning and Execution:
      • Assist the Production Manager in developing and implementing production strategies aligned with business objectives.
      • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
      • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency.

    Key Result Areas (KRAs):

    • Achievement of production targets within specified timelines and budgets.
    • Consistent product quality in compliance with industry standards.
    • Effective leadership, resulting in high team morale and low attrition rates.
    • Reduction in machine downtime and operational costs.
    • Adherence to safety protocols and zero-incident operations.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Educational Background:

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    Professional Experience:

    Minimum of 8 years of experience in production management, preferably in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.

    Technical Skills:

    In-depth knowledge of drum manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.

    Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.

    Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).

    Leadership and Management Skills:

    Exceptional Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage a diverse workforce.

    Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
