- Possess a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and their associated materials.
- Identify, categorize, and manage MEP inventory accurately based on specifications and project requirements.
- Assist with procurement processes by understanding material needs and specifications for MEP projects.
Inventory Management: - Receive, inspect, and verify incoming MEP deliveries against purchase orders and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software.
- Organize and store MEP materials in accordance with safety regulations and accessibility requirements.
- Issue materials to authorized personnel upon request, verifying requisitions and maintaining proper documentation.
- Conduct regular physical inventories to reconcile stock levels with system records.
- Identify and report discrepancies or damaged items to the head of the department.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
General Storekeeping: - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the storeroom.
- Assist with stockroom audits and inventory control procedures.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies related to inventory management and handling.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a warehouse or stockroom setting, preferably with MEP materials.
- Strong understanding of MEP concepts and materials.
- Experience with inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move moderate weights.
