    ABOUT THE COMPANY

    WHO WE ARE

    KNCV has been fighting TB since its establishment in 1903 as a collaborative effort by several private local TB control initiatives in the Netherlands. Over the past 118 years, the organization has acquired indispensable knowledge and experience in the field of effective TB control, resulting in pre-elimination in the Netherlands and significant contributions to global evidence generation, policy development and TB program implementation worldwide.

    KNCV has 90 technical staff: around 30 of whom are based in The Hague and around 60 at country level. The skill matrix includes general TB advisors and highly specialized experts who are active in the following areas: data driving strategic planning for TB Elimination; development of funding requests (GF and other); DR-TB programming including patient triage, introduction of new drugs and shorter all oral regimens, aDSM, decentralization of DR-TB services; TB/HIV collaborative interventions, joint service delivery; LTBI diagnosis, treatment and surveillance; comprehensive laboratory network strengthening, introduction of new (molecular) laboratory techniques and quality assurance systems; epidemiology, prevalence and drug resistance surveys. We do TB surveillance and surveillance systems, epidemiological modeling; mobile and digital health solutions; health systems strengthening, including human resources for health, CME, e-learning and blended learning programs; decentralized financing of integrated TB programming; increasing access for vulnerable groups, including programming to address discrimination and stigma.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Sciences or any other related field. At least 3-4 years of experience in M & E in public health project. Experience in working in the fields of TB/HIV, Community TB, and MDR TB, with extensive field experience in Nigeria. Proficiency in statistical analysis and use of computer. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, approachable and good listener. Exhibits a high level of accuracy in work, and ability to analyze complex sets of relationships and situations. Proficiency in the use of computer applications (Microsoft Office etc.) Excellent written and verbal English language skills. Must be self-starter with the ability to work in a team, dynamic, solid, and open. Must be flexible with absolute integrity, organizational awareness and understanding of cultural differences. Have a high sense of integrity and transparency. Ability to manage official information in a confidential manner.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Purpose of Job The M&E Officer will work with His/her supervisor to ensure a seamless harmonization of all M&E activities across all clusters. Ensure implementation of the M&E plan for TB LON Regions 1& 2 project including monitoring progress against planned activities, critical milestones and targets as well as providing support and guidance to program counterparts to ensure that the data collection, data management and reporting, are of the highest possible quality.Job DescriptionIn the position of M&E Officer, he/she: Assist in timely and complete reporting of CTB activities. Adapt & implement tools & techniques to improve quality and use of data. In collaboration with the State TB program, mentor all M&E focal persons at the state level as well as Local Government TB & Leprosy Control Supervisors (LGTBLSs) and Health Facility Staff. Contribute to employ a rigorous monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress of all activities and outputs, including a strong focus on evaluating Tuberculosis awareness and participation in all project activities. Support the M&E Advisor in data management for rapid assessments, situational analysis, surveys, evaluations, and another research as required. Assist in monitoring and evaluating progress towards annual work plans, expected outputs, including selecting and monitoring progress in meeting indicators. Assist the M&E Advisor and support monitoring and evaluation and knowledge management activities. Ensure timely data collection, compilation and reporting according to Challenge TB M&E plan. Perform other additional duties as assigned.
