- Collect, prepare, and test soil, asphalt, and concrete samples according to FDD (Foundation Design Data) and relevant construction standards.
- Perform field tests to assess material properties such as permeability and strength.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures and results.
- Input test data into computer systems and generate reports.
- Assist with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to laboratory safety protocols.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- BSc or HND in Civil Engineering, Geography, Geology, Soil Science or relevant discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a construction laboratory setting.
- Proven experience in conducting soil, asphalt, and concrete testing.
- Strong understanding of FDD (Foundation Design Data) and relevant construction codes and standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of computers and laboratory software.
