Job description
Our client, a leading company in the oil and gas sector, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in cost estimation, contract management, and project cost control within the oil and gas industry.
Location: Lagos
Industry: Oil & Gas
Experience: Minimum 5 years in quantity surveying, preferably in oil & gas or construction
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and contract valuations for projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments on project costs
- Analyze and negotiate contractor and supplier contracts
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost efficiency
- Prepare tender documents and manage procurement processes
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to optimize costs
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in oil & gas projects
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and cost control
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and industry best practices
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
