Position Summary

We are seeking a highly proficient and dedicated Radiographer to join our state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient care and precise diagnostic outcomes using our advanced imaging technology, including 1.5T MRI, 64-slice & 256-slice CT, C-Arm, and digital X-ray systems. This role demands a commitment to the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and professional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Imaging & Patient Care:

• Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging procedures (MRI, CT, X-ray, C-Arm) with a focus on producing images of superior diagnostic quality.
• Expertly prepare and position patients for imaging, providing clear instructions and compassionate care to ensure patient comfort, cooperation, and safety.
• Critically review and assess images for technical quality, accuracy, and completeness before formal interpretation by a radiologist.

Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance:

• Strictly adhere to and enforce radiation safety protocols, infection control measures, and patient privacy regulations in accordance with RRBN, NSR, and FMOH standards.
• Conduct regular quality control tests on all imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and operational safety.
• Coordinate with service engineers to schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs.

Collaboration & Clinical Support:

• Work collaboratively with radiologists and referring physicians to discuss clinical requirements and ensure imaging protocols meet diagnostic needs.
• Provide essential imaging support during interventional radiology procedures and surgical operations utilizing C-Arm and other modalities.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records within the hospital's information management systems.

Leadership & Professional Development:

• Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to junior radiographers and student interns.
• Actively engage in continuous professional development to stay current with evolving imaging techniques, technologies, and best practices in medical radiography.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Radiography from a recognized institution.
• A valid and current practicing license from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
• 3–5 years of hands-on, post-graduation experience operating MRI (1.5T), CT (64-slice/256-slice), X-ray, and C-Arm equipment in a clinical setting.

Technical Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and radiographic positioning techniques.
• Proven expertise in radiation protection and safety standards.
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed patient records and managing imaging workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional post-graduate certification in MRI or CT imaging is highly desirable.
• Experience in a tertiary healthcare facility is an advantage.
