Role Description
We are seeking a full-time WordPress Developer specializing in Forms and Future Integrations to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites with a focus on creating responsive web forms and ensuring seamless integrations. Day-to-day tasks will include front-end and back-end development, implementing design elements, optimizing site performance, and collaborating with other team members to enhance the overall user experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, Web Development, and server-side technologies
- Strong understanding of Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design principles
- Experience in Web Design with a focus on user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces
- Familiarity with WordPress and expertise in creating, managing, and customizing web forms
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is a plus
- Experience with APIs and third-party integrations is an advantage
Experience implementing on-page SEO best practices in WordPress
- Proper heading structure and semantic HTML
- Experience configuring Yoast SEO or Rank Math
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals and page speed optimization
- Experience implementing caching and image optimization
- Knowledge of structured data (schema markup)
What You'll Do (Phase 1)
- Build structured, responsive pages in WordPress
- Implement and customize advanced forms (multi- step, validation, conditional logic)
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and clean UI
- Configure plugins safely and efficiently
- Implement spam protection (reCAPTCHA, etc.)
- Optimize performance and security best practices
- SEO best practices
What You Should Be Comfortable With (Future Phase)
- Basic PHP and WordPress theme customization
- Working with REST APIs
- Connecting form submissions to external systems
- Integrating third-party tools (payments, CRM, email platforms)
- Understanding webhooks and API authentication
- Stripe or PayPal integration experience (preferred)
Required Skills
- 2–4+ years WordPress development experience
- Experience with Gravity Forms, WPForms, Formidable or similar
- Strong understanding of WordPress structure (themes, plugins, child themes)
- Basic knowledge of MySQL
- Ability to troubleshoot plugin conflicts and site issues
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with membership systems
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Experience building custom post types
- Experience working on platforms that require user accounts
