About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and business-savvy Senior Technical Assistant to support the Managing Director in driving technology strategy, operational oversight, and cross-functional execution.
This is not an IT support role.The ideal candidate will serve as a technical advisor and execution partner within the MD's office — translating business priorities into technical initiatives, overseeing strategic projects, reviewing engineering output, and ensuring alignment between technology, product, operations, and compliance.
The role requires strong fintech exposure, deep technical understanding, executive maturity, and the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
Key Responsibilities Executive Technical AdvisoryAct as a technical sounding board to the Managing Director.
Review and analyze technical proposals, architecture decisions, and vendor engagements.
Provide insights on system scalability, fintech integrations, security posture, and platform performance.
Translate complex technical discussions into executive-level summaries.
Strategic Project Oversight
Monitor execution of critical technology and product initiatives.
Track delivery milestones and flag risks to the MD.
Ensure alignment between product roadmap and business strategy.
Support due diligence on new fintech partnerships, vendors, and integrations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Liaise with Engineering, Product, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams.
Ensure seamless communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Facilitate executive-level meetings on system performance and digital initiatives.
Prepare briefing notes and executive dashboards for board discussions.
Technology & Fintech Oversight
Understand core fintech infrastructure (payments, APIs, lending systems, wallets, etc.).
Review system architecture for scalability, resilience, and compliance readiness.
Monitor cybersecurity posture and regulatory adherence.
Support audit and regulatory documentation where required.
Data & Performance Monitoring
Analyze system metrics, uptime reports, and performance dashboards.
Provide actionable insights on operational efficiency.
Support data-driven decision-making within the MD's office.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
8–12+ years of progressive experience in technology, fintech, or digital financial services.
Prior experience in senior technical, solution architecture, program management, or technology strategy roles.
Strong understanding of fintech ecosystems (payments, lending, digital banking, APIs, KYC/AML systems).
Deep knowledge of software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and system scalability.
Strong business acumen and executive communication skills.
Experience working directly with C-suite or executive leadership.
Preferred Experience
Background in fintech, digital banking, or financial services.
Experience working in a high-growth or regulated environment.
Exposure to compliance standards (PCI-DSS, data protection regulations, etc.).
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
