Job Summary
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), OEM/Supplier/Vendor selection, tenders/bids, Purchase Orders,and negotiation of an award for services (Freight, clearing). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain/procurement procedures,
sourcing skills both local and foreign products and services.
A good analytical skill with ability to prepare price analysis cost benefit analysis etc problem solving skills with ability to
manage and resolve specification technical commercial queries strategize better solutions market intelligence commercial awareness of E I products
and services product knowledge ie: e & i products would be an advantage good sourcing skills both local and foreign products and services working knowledge ERP systems software used by clients in Oil Gas sector eg SAP Ariba GEP contract management data information management strong negotiation consultative sales skills proficient computer Microsoft Office Suite Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint organized multitask prioritize manage time efficiently accurate precise attention detail consistent meet adhere deadlines teamwork collaborative outstanding organizational leadership Additional requirements include HND BSc degree higher relevant field minimum three years experience Construction Real Estate Manufacturing Oil Gas Telecom industries familiarity supply chain procurement procedures able prepare reports RFQs Purchases including Pre bid analysis Price analysis Cost Benefit Analysis etc key responsibilities Prepare RFQs OEM Supplier Vendor selection tenders bids Purchase Orders negotiate award freight clearing Prepare reports on RFQs Purchases including Pre bid analysis Price analysis Cost Benefit Analysis Source identify client needs obtain best competitive prices items correct manufacturers reputable suppliers Negotiate supplier vendor quotes Source obtain best cost effective freight methods items RFQs Purchase Orders Raise chase up Purchase Orders Track expedite assigned Manufacturers Suppliers ensure procurement activities line terms conditions Bid PO Monitor track delivery imported shipments Freight Forwarders Clearing Agents Track payments Accounts unit Assist Admin Logistics receipt delivery goods clients Carry out other procurement expediting functions assigned Assist Lead target set achieved unit Job Requirements HND BSc degree higher relevant field three years experience Construction Real Estate Manufacturing Oil Gas Telecom familiarity supply chain procurement procedures able prepare reports source identify client needs obtain best competitive prices items correct manufacturers reputable suppliers negotiatie
