    Description

    Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the portfolio meets day-to-day and long-term liquidity needs. The portfolio must be structured and managed within the parameters outlined in the credit market and counterparty risk policy.
  • Provide financial return for the organization while also providing liquidity to other business lines.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance returns across asset portfolios.
  • Facilitate trade execution in fixed-income space while ensuring a high level of service to all clients.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and commentaries detailing historic performance, strategies, opportunities, and risks.
  • Build, onboard, and maintain relationships with trading clients and inform clients of applicable market activity, changes in market structure, regulatory issues, or ad hoc requests.
  • Confirm all trades are booked accurately on a daily basis and trade allocations are received from clients to be processed preventing the risk of loss and client impact, resolving trade booking issues for clients, and ensuring settlement of trades occurs.
  • Monitor the Nigerian and international market performance and prices of specific products.
  • Interact with senior management daily to execute transactions and discuss strategies.


    Requirements:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc./ MBA Accounting /Finance/Economics/Mathematics/Social Science or any related courses
  • 3 - 4 years of progressive work experience in the financial services sector
  • Certification in CFA, ACI, CSI
  • Strong Quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
  • Good Presentation & Negotiation Skills
  • Effective Documentation and a keen eye for details
  • Demonstrable experience and interaction with other dealers and traders in the market and ability to keep tabs on prices and levels of security prices.
  • Possess excellent research skills to help determine market sentiment via valuation and data analysis.
  • Conversant with FMDQ trading platforms, software, and initiatives as well as being familiar with the Bloomberg trading platform.
  • Ability to work closely with other treasury market dealers and investors and build relationships with others in the market, collating relevant information, and experience in executing trades.
