- Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.
- Analyzes movement and use patterns of the space.
- Creating initial design sketches, color themes, and ideas based on client requirements and space availability.
- Produce sample boards and mood boards to demonstrate preliminary designs to clients.
- Consult with clients to select materials, furnishings, and décor pieces.
- Uses design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.
- Use of necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.
- Oversees the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.
- Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
Requirements: - The Ideal candidate must have 3 - 5 years of related experience working in an interior.
- Must be able to distinguish between colors.
- Interior design certification is highly preferred.
- Must have passion for business and closing of sales.
- Coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) is highly preferred.
