    Job Summary:

    • The Head of Hostesses oversees the hostess team and is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences by managing the hostess station efficiently and coordinating seating arrangements.
    • This role involves supervising hostesses, maintaining guest flow, and upholding service standards to enhance the overall dining experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise hostess team by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth operations of the hostess station.
    • Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times, ensuring efficient use of dining space.
    • Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and assist with seating arrangements as needed.
    • Manage reservations and walk-in guests, ensuring accurate and timely seating arrangements.
    • Maintain communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and manage guest expectations.
    • Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
    • Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking resolutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Assist in training hostesses on service standards, guest interactions, and reservation management procedures.
    • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences and improve operational efficiency.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to hostess team members to support their growth and development.
    • Stay updated on restaurant policies, menus, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests and staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a fine dining restaurant or upscale establishment.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
    • Knowledge of reservation management systems and basic computer skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • Minimum HND or equivalent in Hospitality; additional education or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
