    Description
    • The Account Officer will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in managing the financial transactions of the organization.
    • They will handle various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with budget preparation.
    • The Account Officer will ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in maintaining financial records by accurately recording transactions in the accounting system.
    • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
    • Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
    • Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data and provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenses to ensure adherence to financial objectives.
    • Prepare and file tax returns and assist with audits as needed.
    • Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and comply with all company policies and regulations.
    • Provide support to the Finance Manager and other team members as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a similar industry.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Professional certification ACA, ACCA is required.
