Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and performance-driven Plant Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end plant operations, including tablet compression lines, capsule production, liquid dosage manufacturing, and external liquid processing.

This role demands a strong operational leader capable of managing a mid-sized factory of over 250 employees while ensuring strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and internal quality systems. The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving productivity, operational excellence, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across all production units.

The ideal candidate must possess deep pharmaceutical manufacturing expertise, strong people leadership skills, and the ability to balance quality, efficiency, safety, and output targets in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Provide overall leadership for tablet, capsule, and liquid manufacturing lines
  

• Oversee daily production planning, scheduling, and execution
  

• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials
  

• Monitor plant performance metrics and implement corrective actions where required
  

Workforce & People Management

• Lead, supervise, and develop a workforce of 250+ employees
  

• Establish clear performance standards and accountability structures
  

• Drive a culture of discipline, productivity, and continuous improvement
  

• Collaborate with HR on workforce planning, training, and succession development
  

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure full adherence to GMP, regulatory, and safety standards
  

• Oversee batch manufacturing processes and documentation control
  

• Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams
  

• Prepare the plant for audits and inspections
  

Operational Excellence & Cost Control

• Identify process inefficiencies and implement waste reduction strategies
  

• Improve throughput, yield, and production cycle times
  

• Manage operational budgets and cost optimization initiatives
  

• Drive lean manufacturing and process improvement programs
  

Technical & Product Support

• Provide technical oversight for formulation scale-up and new product introduction
  

• Ensure proper equipment maintenance and plant reliability systems
  

• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues
  

Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related technical discipline
  

• Extensive experience managing pharmaceutical manufacturing operations
  

• Proven track record overseeing tablet, capsule, and liquid production lines
  

• Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance frameworks
  

• Demonstrated experience managing large teams in a structured factory environment
  

• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and operational control skills
